About Accrington Road Runners 10km

A hugely popular 10k recognised for its excellent course, first-class marshalling and enviable gifts for all finishers.

Prizes awarded to:
• Top three finishers (Male & Female)
• Veterans – Men 40 through to 75+
• Veterans – Women 35 through to 65+

A great 10k with a variety of rural and urban roads, safely managed to allow you to run with confidence. Strictly no earphones or headphones.

This is an undulating course featuring a 1.5 mile grandstand descent to the finish.

This is an event that can be run either competitively or at a more relaxed pace.

2km Junior Race
Entry for the Junior race is on the day only.

Ample car parking and refreshments available at the start and finish.

The Route

An undulated 10k road race, safely managed by traffic control. Take in scenery during the initial 2 mile accent up Burnley Road Altham, and remind yourself of  ‘what goes up, must come down!’. The route is heavily marshalled throughout the race, which allows you to race through urban areas without worrying about the traffic. The reward comes at 4.5 miles as you start your grandstand decent to the finishing line, where you will be greeted and cheered by our enthusiastic supporters.
