• Announcement 1 / 1 : Dear Member, A message from Liam regarding our 40th Anniversary. I know it’s only very, very early in the year but I would like everyone to know about an event the Committee has planned to celebrate our 40th Anniversary as Accrington Road Runners. On SUNDAY 31st of AUGUST. Firstly, we be hosting a 40 mile relay starting and finishing at Accrington Cricket Club. We hope to have at least 40 different members and ex members running a mile each. Clearly anyone wishing to run will be able to do so. The route will be a big circle all around Accrington. On conclusion of the relay (which is hoped to be early afternoon) we will be having a celebration buffet and drinks at the cricket club . Names aren’t required at this stage. This message is just so you can keep your diary free for that day. It promises to be a great day. Best Wishes Liam

    We’re a friendly and welcome club established in 1985, with around 100 members. We do our very best to cater for all running abilities. The main aim of the club is the promotion of running in the Hyndburn area. There are opportunities to compete, however, this is not our main focus! Our main focus is to promote running at all paces for fitness, health, pleasure and companionship.

    We are a friendly & social running club that welcomes all levels of ability. Members range from; the casual runner to the most competitive runner. We are an established, well-organised running club with plenty of social activities and recommended races to add to your racing calendar.

    We would like to invite you to come along on a Tuesday evening at 6:30pm at Accrington Cricket Club, Thorneyholme Road BB5 5BD. Come and see if you like it initially and if you do, then the membership will be £40 for the year. This will make you part of an affiliated club plus lots more benefits!
