The Route

After registering in the field where you’ll be directed to park, you’ll make your way down to the entrance of Hurstwood itself. Setting off up through the woods, racing past Hurstwood reservoir, you’ll be directed over the Alpinesque switchbacks over towards Thursden Valley.

Again, the awesome setting sun over Pendle Hill greets you on the horizon (please be kind weather), as you take on the Sunset S-Bends along the Pennine Bridleway. Making your way to the top, you’ll be directed back down the valley for another fast paced descent past your fellow racers, back up the switchbacks on the other side of the valley, finished with a super fast-paced run in, alongside the tranquil Hurstwood Reservoir, descending back down through the woods to the finish!
